25th High School Reunion

Boy, it's been busy for me lately!  It's been difficult to make time for the blog lately.  Thankfully, my husband took the boys golfing and then to Costco today, so I've found myself some relaxation time unexpectedly.

Three weeks ago my husband and I went to our 25th high school reunion.  This dress has been hanging in my closet for almost a year with tags still attached, it is so sad.  I've always felt it was too fancy for going out to dinner around here, but I'm tired of this interesting piece just sitting and not getting any exposure.  I would have preferred to have some sort of pop of color with this outfit, such as a red clutch or red pumps.  I have red pumps, but they have a wood stacked heel, and the wood heel adds too many colors and doesn't work with this dress.  So, I decided I had no other choice than to be matchy-matchy with my my black patent pumps and clutch.

      Thanks Sylvia! I think this is my favorite dress right now. So many times I put it on the day after I thought it was too dressy, and then I kicked myself for thinking that!

      Thanks Lisa, I was drawn to the pattern and that's why I wanted it so badly. I had my hair done at the salon that day. My stylist is amazing. She used an extra-large barrel round brush to get the extra volume. I've tried unsuccessfully doing this on my own.

      Is this CB Marie? :) This dress you might be able to find on Ebay. I bought it in December of 2011 and JUST wore it for the first time in September!

    That print almost looks like hanging strings of pearls or something! It fits you pretty dang well, too.
