Inspired by Style Underdog's Blue Suede Shoes Post

This outfit was inspired by Style Underdog's Blue Suede Shoes post, unfortunately her blog is down right now so I can't show you her photo.  I tried really hard to find her Alfani gray & white floral pencil skirt from Macy's, but it is sold out.

Instead I found this similar skirt at White House | Black Market.  Similar except that it is A-line instead of pencil and that it has black in the print.  I did find the blue suede pumps in the same brand and style, but SU's are five inch heels.... mine.... two and a half.   I'm wishing the photo showed how much the blue pops the outfit.  Too much sun here I suppose.
Up close to see color a little better:

  1. I like those shoes. I don't own a pair of blue pumps, and I wish I did.

  2. Thanks Rebecca!

Now I see why these shoes are not popping as much as I had hoped. I realize now that the blue shoes really popped in SU's outfit because the skirt's white background allows for the color to show more. My skirt is more black instead of white, so the blue does not contrast as much.

I am going to keep the white/gray Alfani skirt on my Ebay watch list. It showed up once last week, but unfortunately it was not in my size. :(

  3. So pretty! I love black and white together and the pop of color adds a nice touch. :)

  4. Pretty look. I am often surprised how the colours show up in photos compared to real life - can be disappointing.

Hope all going great your side of the world.
